I have received reliable information today, that the foot crossing at Downham Market station in Norfolk and recorded to be the most abused in the UK, is finally going to be replaced in the autumn, by a bridge of similar design to the (skyscraper) one now at Elsenham, Essex and where the two young girls were tragically killed just a couple of years back.
I actually witnessed a near-miss on this crossing just two weeks ago and the person concerned didn't give a second thought for the driver of the train then approaching. Pity I never had my camera handy to take his photograph, because I WOULD have handed it over to BT Police, along with a written statement.
