Looks like the construction of the level crossing wont begin until early 2010 now.

Yep - read the .pdf brief earlier. Its a sound decision, with the long term advantages outweighing the short-term ones. We can wait a year!

(Fingers crossed, in a year's time I might be passed out to fire a charter train from Sheringham to Holt!) Cool

Apparently the Norfolk County Council have pledged £25,000 towards the project, providing the rest of the money is raised.

The current funds stand at £55,000.

NCC recently spent £70,000 on redoing laybys on the Cromer-Sheringham road, so £25,000 is probably a drop in the ocean to them. Top marks for the pledge though!

I would Sincerely like to see the breakdown of the massive costs of these lay-by jobs, because like MP's expenses, I Very Strongly believe they could be cut and STILL get the same quality of work from those who actually carry it out.
