Weekend Engineering Works at CambridgeI have been reliably informed today, that weekend engineering work at Cambridge is due to go on until 3 weeks before christmas, then who knows what afterwards. It is all sadly to do with the mis-guided bus system being placed there.
IF you travel via Cambridge at weekends, you can now only get a train to Ely, Royston, Bury St. Edmunds, or Stanstead Airport and then catch a bus/coach to Cambridge. If you are going on from there, you will need ANOTHER to get you to your destination outside.
A serious question that was asked of Network Rail. "Can you move the power box, as it is in the way?" A 3-storey building and they get asked to move it, because it is in the way of the MIS-guided bus route? I thought it was a joke, but apparently not. There are some right plonkers about these days.
NO wonder there are so many cars on the road at weekends.
