Tangmere to make another Eastern AppearanceI believe that Tangmere is to do another East Coast Run, from London Victoria to Norwich Thorpe, sometime in December although I'm not entirely sure when. Perhaps the 22nd?

Had a message today, to say Tangmere is coming to Ely on Sunday 9th December, but arrival time is unknown at this moment in time.

Even better!
May I ask where you found this information? I have only been told by word of mouth, I have come across no official information yet.

A bit dissapointing today - unfortunatly Tangmere was running early , so I was lucky to even see it run past. It was meant to pass Diss at 13.16, but shot past the point where I was meant to be watching at 13.07. Only one shot, quite dissapointing. Bad light, blurred - not a postcard picture!

I caught it, running late, at Kelvedon, and also caught it at Colchester station on its return. Was my first time to go see steam on the mainline, so got rather excited, even my parents were eager to see it!
Hope to upload some pictures sometime soon!

Once we left Colchester, heading home, on the A12, saw a train stationary on the GEML, and then saw the steam, so we headed to see what we could see. Soon after three fire engines turned up wanting to know where the train on fire was! Silly people didn't know it was actually a steam train! Was rather crazy, but doubt the real reason will be known!
Anyhow, this picture was from the platform at Kelvedon station, watching Tangmere race past, followed by the engulfing smoke.
