I am Proud to say I helped lay some of the track now the other side of the bridge at Sheringham Station. It WAS hard work, but WORTH it in order to help get them where thay are today.

Here's a few more, they all speak for themselves and were taken by my dad Bryan Newman, except for the black and white J15 shot which is my dad driving, credit unknown.
I don't work at The NNR now but I spent all my weekends and holidays there as a lad untill I was about 16, my dad was there from the very start and loved driving on the railway.
We drifted away during the 1980s when it all started to get serious and political and the fun seemed to go out of volunteering. I have so many happy memories of footplate rides and unofficially firing the engines under the watcheful eye of the fireman, "going under" to couple/uncouple topping the water up at weybourne and exploring the old trackbed to kelling and holt. My parents had a caravan in the yard at sheringham and with hindsight how my long suffering mum used to tolerate it was amazing!
