First Public Running of Quad-Art set at NNR (12-13 July)

This weekend sees the first public running of this lovely looking recently restored coaches! I'm so going to be there! Going to tie it in with the railtour from Norwich to Scarborough, so a very early morning from Essex, but well worth it i am sure!!! Will post pics next week!
Owen

Meet you there Wink I should hopefully making it on Saturday Idea

Cool, the plan is to get there for the first running, then go to see the Yarmouth Drags. Quite a mission, but worth it hopefully!
Owen

Doing the full works then Wink I'll be getting there for the first train hopefully, travel for a bit and enjoy the line between Holt and Weybourne which I never seem to travel on when working in the sheds. I was going to be working in the new RBr which was meant to be with one of the Mk.I sets as a Buffet but it looks like it won't be ready and I haven't been asked yet anyway.

I hoping to get the first train as well. Well least u get to enjoy it instead of working on it!
Owen

The first train looks like it'll be diesel haulded, probably the 25. The first Quads train leaves Sherringham at 11:15 so a return journey on the first train will get you back into Sherringham to ride the Quads for the first time. Last train leaves Holt at 5:30pm with a Photo Charter in the evening starting at 6:30pm.

Well I'm aiming for the first running of the quads. I think that the railtour section of the journey may be off now, its setting off an hour earlier than originally booked, leaving norwich at 7, instead of 8.
Owen

Here are a couple of my pictures - I shall post a link to the gallery once they are all uploaded. Very impressed by the quads, although they look like they'll need another coat of varnish as some of the beading is still exposed round the edges.

They were gorgeous! Looked nice when the sun came out (for about 2 seconds).
Owen

Thanks!

I'd have to agree with you, the weather was pretty poor. It seemed to start raining whenever I got off the train.

There are some more photographs on my fotopic site, here:

You weren't the only one, got off at Holt on the first trip and the heavens just opened! Wasn't nice! But they were lovely, even in the rain!!!!
Owen

We must've brushed shoulders at some point, nice to meet you Wink Was that the first Quad trip or the First Return with the Rat on the front?
easternbuzz

Hehe. The first trip of the quads from Sheringham.
