End of Wisbech - Upwell TramwayIt was on 20 May 1966 that D2201 hauled the very last Eastern Region's Wisbech - Upwell Tramway service over the lines, hauling just three coal wagons and a Brake Van from Upwell.
This service used to frequent Wisbech East Station, which has sadly now been replaced by a housing estate, leaving no evidence of any station ever having been there. Hopefully, when the Wisbech & March Bramley Line are up and running hopefully by 2008, they will have as they intend, some recognition to this service, on their premises.
There is an 'N' gauge model of the entire line been built by a local man who does sometimes have it on display at Model Railway Exhibitions. From the information given, it is reported to take up approximatelt 42 feet of boarding.
