Cheers, the CVR is a nice little line, and probably gets a bit over shadowed by the bigger preserved railways, well worth spending a few hours there.

I did try to visit the line some years ago and on a Very hot day and while in the area. Because I refused to leave my then dog in the car (Against the law as well as Extremely Cruel), I was told in No uncertain terms and Extremely rudely by some woman: "NO Dogs allowed!", so I left again and yet to return.

I do find this odd with the CVR, i would assume the main reason for banning dogs is because of the animal park, and they dont want dogs upsetting the animals that roam free. But i can't see the problem within the railway area, plus the animal area is gated. Many people own dogs and they are missing out a bit if they dont allow them in. Having said that i swear i saw a couple with a small dog on my previous visit, perhaps rules aren't as strict now as the railway has since changed hands.

As well as changing hands there Kieran, so I have another dog since. the dog involved at the time, has since sadly had 3 Massive strokes and died, so If and when I do actually get that way again, I Will visit, but minus our current dog, Bless him and he Loves trains.
