According to Railway Herald, it was involved in some damage to the John Peel named 47.

That must be fairly recent then, I snapped John Peel (47813) on the day that Tangmere went up the mainline

Yes - damage was in early April. not a great deal - ripped off the headcode box of one of the locos.

The 47 at Shenfield was on Thunderbird duties. In the morning it is at Colchester and the evening at Shenfield.
The damage was caused during an uncouling movement when the Multi cable was left in.

Captain Sensible was spotted by myself stabled in Bristol Temple Meads station with 4 Class 43 Valenta Power cars yesterday.

Stabled close to the level crossing at March since early part of this week is Class 47 760 having reportedly failed.

Taken at Denver Crossing on the Kings Lynn - Liverpool Street service back in May 1989, is Class 47 579 James Nighthall GC heading Up road at approximately 80mph. This same picture has since been used on Bramley Line flyers.
