Changes to the ONE timetableIt is the end of an era in May when a full year timetable comes into force replacing the summer and winter separate tables. Visit the ONE website for timetable changes but it also includes:
-More stops on Sunday at Buckenham and Lakenheath for the RSPB reserves.
-Hourly service on the Bittern Line (Sherringham and Cromer).
-Hourly service at Brandon.
-Express peak train from Norwich to London calling at Ipswich only.

Re the new hourly stops at Brandon, that is fine, but, most regretably, the Public Transport from there to surrounding areas and especially on Sundays, is NON-Existent apart from high charging Taxis. My Father lives in a village 6 miles from there and recently got told it costs £10 each way to the station. His bus service is one Big joke weekdays, let alone Sundays.

Hopefully the improved rail service will entice a better public transport interchange in time.

I do not want to sound as if I am winging, but why oh why is the Ipswich - Cambridge line so poorly served on a Sunday - the rest of the One network seems to have hourly service, yet we have a two hourly, starting very late and finishing very early service.

That was the same under Regional Railways. Have you tried via Ely, with the service running from Peterborough to Liverpool Street, or do you need an intermediate station from Cambridge?

I don't know the Ipswich - Cambridge line that well but is it well used? I think most people are tempted with the A14 fast road. I think they probably want you to use the connection at Ely although this isn't good for Newmarket or Dullingham.

Latest rumour is that ONE may be putting in pathing plans for Norwich to Peterborough. I don't know how true it is but I have heard it from several sources. Also remember that the East Midlands franchise is announced later in the year.
