Probably the most popular rail forums on the web but all very individual in their own rights:

Railchat: www.railchat.co.uk This site attracts enthusiasts and railworkers alike so you get a broad range of topics. There is a section who raise money for charity. This year it is NSPCC. Admin is HD (Hull Driver)

Railwayscene: www.railwayscene.co.uk Mainly for the enthusiast and has a younger membership so expect some immature banter. On the whole a good site for non-technical discussion. Admin is Rich Makin.

WNXX: www.wnxx.net I personally don't have much to do with this forum but I am assured it is very popular. It is a spin off from the very popular and up to date site WNXX. Link to WNXX main site: www.wnxx.com Admin is IF.
