Apparently Saturday's Grand Central HSTs are being diverted onto the March-Cambridge line due to engineering work - will anyone be around to grab some photos?

It would be great to see a sleek black Class 43 howling through March!

I've got a bit of ECM1 from 22:00 - 08:00 tonight to play with but i'm not sure if there are any longer possesions in place to warrant diversions...I'll make enquiries.

IF they continue tomorrow when I hope to be crossing March station level crossing twice and Always make a point of keeping camera beside me when driving, I will Certainly keep an eye on whatever comes through. So IF they send one through, here's one who will do their utmost to photograph it. I am as yet, to see one for real and it would be nice to get a photo of a diversion on the forum.

Sadly there were signalling problems between Ely & Peterborough, so they put on Bus Replacement Service.

Sadly, I crossed the level crossing at March station 4 times on Sunday and they had a Bus Replacement Service in operation due to a signalling problem between Ely & Peterborough.

wow - what a brilliant pic!
bet cars waiting at the level crossing were a bit surprised not to see the boring 170s trundle through!

I still think the HSTs are one of the most aesthetically sleek units ever built - certainly far prettier (and much nicer noise) than the Class 91 replacements on the ECML...
